The first responsive website for the museum is a window into their scientific research for zoology. Four large vertical panels with striking photography are prominently featured on the homepage. Each is a category under which all website content is organized.
Subpages are designed using a responsive grid with alternating content placed into specific columns. An emerging technology at the time, responsive design media queries offered new and exciting affordances during the design phase.
This site was presented at conferences around the world and referenced on a wide range of devices for scientific research. It also served as the new benchmark for all projects moving forward.
